This morning it was raining and warm (66 degrees)!
07:30am – Babe did his normal squawking to let us know he was up and ready. Waiting for him to quiet down didn’t take long at all – I got him out of his crate and let him go pee. After he finished I knelt down and loved on him and put his leash on. When I love on him I am literally feeling his ribs, legs, back, head – to acclimate him to being touched.
We then walked, he pooped twice – we came back, he drank some water and came with me to get his breakfast. We then walked to the kennel and I gave him his breakfast.
11:00am – Session 1.
It was raining again so we worked in the back porch. Just like yesterday he excelled in each behavior. We worked house, name recall, whistle recall and down. He excellent with down. I faded the hand signal and he immediately went down and stayed there. Kim’s focused work on down is paying dividends.
Because he did so great we got in some ultimate workout. Literally 50 throws!
4:00pm – Session 2 .
Babe did really well today. Solid on all his behaviors. I worked him inside the porch today as it was pouring and then did a little play time with him. During the days it is raining you have to be a bit more creative with how to get his energy out. Today we played with a stuffed turtle and he had a ball.
6:00pm – play time and dinner.
8:00pm – play time and walk.
10:00pm – play time and walk.
