This morning it was cold and sunny.
07:30am – My little buddy went through his normal routine, no squeaks whatsoever. He had two great poops. But I noticed one thing: he was taller and no longer a tubby little guy. He LITERALLY grew over night!
11:00am – Session 1.
We worked crating today and his jumping into it was awesome, it’s only a matter of time until he gets the coordination to “leap” into his crate. After solid reps of down, place, whistle recall, crate and desensitization we got in 25 rounds of ultimate workout out.
4:00pm – Session 2
Today I worked on patience with Babe. He tends to be excited to work so we worked on being calm and allowing me to put the leash on easily and also pet his head and manipulate his ears. This type of work is considered husbandry and is important because it you want to look at the dogs ears or parts of their body for any medical reasons you want a dog that will allow this. This is not something that we normally do with the dogs that we train however Babe has been doing so well and is driven to learn that I decided to work with him a bit on this. As always Babe picked up this really well and did great.
We also worked all of his other behaviors and played ball and gave him belly rubs as a fun activity for him.
6:00pm – play time and dinner.
8:00pm – play time and walk.
10:00pm – play time and walk.
